The Girls' Empowerment Leadership Academy
The Girls Empowerment and Leadership Academy (GELA) is the signature program of Vision Fair Philanthropy, Inc. (VFP). The Academy is designed to inspire, equip, and empower girls to recognize their potential, develop confidence in their abilities, and become thoughtful, courageous leaders in their schools, communities, and beyond. Through meaningful learning experiences, mentorship, leadership development, and community engagement, GELA creates opportunities for girls to discover their voices, strengthen their skills, broaden their perspectives, and envision bold possibilities for their futures.
Our Purpose
Every girl deserves the opportunity to see herself as capable, valuable, and prepared to lead. GELA provides a supportive environment where participants can explore who they are, identify their strengths, develop important life and leadership skills, and build relationships with women and peers who encourage their growth. Our goal is not simply to prepare girls for future leadership, we want them to understand that they can lead now.

The GELA Experience
Academy programming is designed around experiences that support the development of the whole girl. Activities may include workshops, mentoring, guest speakers, experiential learning, service projects, cultural experiences, college and career exposure, and opportunities to practice leadership in authentic settings.
Programming focuses on areas such as:

Leadership & Confidence — Developing self-confidence, communication, decision-making, goal-setting, and leadership skills.

Academic & Career Exploration — Expanding awareness of educational pathways, careers, entrepreneurship, and future opportunities.

Financial Empowerment — Introducing financial literacy, responsible money management, entrepreneurship, and wealth-building concepts.

Health & Wellness — Encouraging healthy choices, self-care, emotional wellness, positive relationships, and personal well-being.

Sisterhood & Mentorship — Connecting girls with positive role models and creating a community where participants encourage and support one another.
